What is your principal defect?
Sara: I’m going to answer for both myself and Tegan. I think, in a lot of ways, being a twin is truly a defect. We’re identical twins, but we were truly meant to be one person. Due to randomness, we split and became two. We came into the world quite literally broken in half.
I just finished reading “high school” by Tegan and Sara. It was probably the best book I’ve ever read , it’s been awhile since I’ve read through a book for fun. I loved reading their stories. Specifically, when Sara quin threw a chair at a homophobic kid- god I wish I could have the courage to do that. Near the end of the book, there’s the exact moment that Sara admits to herself that she’s gay. I can really really relate to that, I was so afraid too. I still am.
